I've not done much listening lately. At YouTube I heard Valentina Lisitsa perform the Moonlight with a reasonably speedy . . . or at least not lethargically slow . . . opening movement. I watched Daniel Barenboim perform Les Adieux and as normal was not overly impressed. (To be fair, I think part of my issue of this filmed sonata series is the recorded sound as uploaded to YouTube.) I listened to several renditions of sonata No.27 (the one between Les Adieux and Hammerklavier) and still can't come to terms with the last movement's final phrase.
Besides Beethoven sonatas, I revisited a number of Gottschalk favorites.
