Classical music teaser - round 5

OK not quite the Xmas bonanza I had planned for you, but I've had a lot of issues to deal with recently as well as being extremely busy - Good luck!

    RULES:

After attempting one question you have to wait 12 hours before attempting another one unless someone else has attempted that question first. The questions cover anything to do with classical music and are not Beethoven specific.

If anyone wishes to send a PM with their answers that's ok, but I won't acknowledge them as correct or otherwise until posted on the forum - however if they are correct and someone else posts it first on the forum, then I'll credit the person with the PM as well. Please limit PM answers to no more than one per day.

    1) Sundry book of bird song. Answered by Megan (and Michael by PM): William Byrd, The Songs of Sundrie Natures (1589)

    2) Evening prayers by Mount Green. Answered by Quijote: Monteverdi Vespers

    3) Mocking bird adrift at sea. Answered by Quijote: 'Sea drift' by Delius

    4) An Aussie stranded, by George! Answered by Sorrano: 'Handel in the Strand' by Percy Grainger

    5) Tons of writing on the wall. Answered by Michael: Walton's "Belshazzar's Feast".

    6) Borrowed in a musical. Answered by Quijote and Michael (by PM): Kismet which uses the music of Borodin.
    'Man know thyself'

And I'll wildly stab the Blue Baron. Sorry, I mean I'll take a stab at Q2:
      Monteverdi Vespers?

As I'm straight-jacketed by the Blue Baron's rules, I've sent him a PM for Q3. Let me try and derail you, as I want all the glory: think along the lines of Messiaen.

I've been thinking along the lines of Messiaen on No. 1, as well, but have not come up with anything.

            No. 5 suggests Walton's "Belshazzar's Feast".
No. 6 is sticking out a mile! (I think).

On the right lines Megan, but you need to be a little more specific.

Aw C'mon Peter, it is a relief to have some easy questions.
