      Unforteneately I haven't heard Tchaikowsky much in recent time, but there were times when I was absolutely absorbed by him. Apart from his favourite works one of my favourite, full of this genuine Russian flavour are these variations in his 3rd orchestra suite at 27:00 and 31:44 of:
