I may have to check out the graphic novel; it could quell my thirst for the ring and save me, like a solid week of time.

I have no idea why V1 is so expensive ($800?) and V2 is $3...
Still - SUPERB.

When I first read it I thought it was a true account. But then I was informed it was just a fiction.

Brilliant and funny synopsis of the Ring by Anna Russell - even faster than reading the comic book.

IIRC, Brünnhilde instructs the ravens to tell the news to Wotan and to make a quick stop on the way to use the bathroom and to get Loge, who is still burning on her rock, so that he may burn his way up to Walhalla. This happens at "Fliegt heim, ihr Raben" (fly home, you ravens), this is the text:
Fliegt heim, ihr Raben! Raunt es eurem Herren, was hier am Rhein ihr gehört! An Brünnhildes Felsen fahrt vorbei! - Der dort noch lodert, weiset Loge nach Walhall!
Denn der Götter Ende dämmert nun auf. So - werf' ich den Brand in Walhalls prangende Burg.
If you'll accept my flawed translation, this is the best I can do:
Fly home, you ravens, Tell your masters what you heard here on the Rhine. Pass through Brünnhild's rock. - The one that still burns there, direct Loge to Walhalla! For the end of the Gods now dawns. So - I cast the fire unto the gleaming castle (palace?) of Walhalla.
So Loge is still in his fire form, and she directs him there. Maybe Wotan already build a pyre expecting his visit?"Wer ein holdes Weib errungen..."
"My religion is the one in which Haydn is pope." - by me .
"Set a course, take it slow, make it happen."

I think Wotan definitely expects Loge. He has the world ash tree piled up in the form of kindling in the Sacred Hall - and then broods...waiting...
