A question about a work of Beethoven

    Hi all!
I've just got the Complete Beethoven edition and i have a question about one recording from the "History Recordings".
    In one of the CDs there is "Mozart-Piano Concerto No.20 in Dm,KV 466-Rondo-Allegro assai[Cadenza by Beethoven,WoO 58 No.2]"
What does it means "Cadenza by Beethoven"???
    Thank you!

A cadenza is an instrumental improvisatory. In concerti, the soloist plays a passage that displays his technical skills and virtuousity while the orchestra remains silent.

In the case you cited, Beethoven provided a cadenza for the Mozart concerto.
