      Whatever next?

      Didn't Beethoven fall in love with Julia Guicciardi in 1801 when she was aged 16? Her father forbade any match with B then due to his deafness. She left for Italy in 1803 after marrying the impotent Count Gallenberg. Shouldn't the women in the article (1809) be Therese Malfatti and not Julia.

              I misread the title of this article and I thought the writer was blaming Beethoven for all the anger in today's world:
