What are you practicing right now.

This one of the pieces I am working on for Grade 3 piano.

Praeludium vocis mollis , by Barbara Arens. From her book Piano Misterioso.

Bach - In dulci jubilo, BWV 729

This is the final organ piece for my parish's Festival of Lessons and Carols. I played it on the same occasion last year, so this should just be some practice to get it back into shape for this year.

Bach Partita no.2 in C minor, I especially love the Capriccio which is great fun to play.

Peter, is that Martha Argeric? It is a brilliant piece, it must be wonderful to play like that!

The little piece I am practicing ( i feel quite junior now) is remarkably easy for Grade 3 piece, and very catchy , elusive , and wistful plaint , the same time.

Thank you for loading it up Peter.

I'm playing the final movement of the Hammerklavier sonata.
(On my CD player, by the way).

Indeed it is - She gave a wonderful performance with Barenboim last year of the Liszt 1st piano concerto to mark her 75th birthday.

Nah! I hate my own version. I went to pieces at bar 209 - just when I was on the home stretch. I panicked and started playing "Jingle Bells" - which I do quite well.

(Apologies for derailing your thread, Megan. Carry on and ignore me! )

Let's hope it sounds wonderful when I have to play it!

This thread reminds me how much I miss learning piano pieces. Several years back, when I first started taking organ lessons, I was leaning Beethoven's Les Adieux sonata, and it was coming along very well. But it has only been organ since then, which is great, but I miss learning new Beethoven works.
