Alfred Brendel celebrates his 90th birthday today. I feel lucky to have attended a couple of his performances at the Festival Hall .

One of my favorite pianists! I too feel lucky to have attended a performance of his. A very happy birthday to him! -
He was my father's favourite pianist and Beethoven was his favourite composer, so a good combination and they were both born in the same year. I still rate his recording of the last 5 sonatas as amongst the best.'Man know thyself'Comment

I love his performances! A long time ago I tried to learn them by playing scores (https://musescore.com/sheetmusic?text=Alfred%20Brendel) but I failed! It is not that easy to play like him!Comment
