    The Queen's Harpsichord

    I have posted this picture of the Queen's Christmas message, as I am fascinated with what looks like a priceless gold harpsichord in the background. Can anyone confirm and roughly style and date please.

    It's actually a piano and is known as Queen Victoria's piano as it was ordered by her from the manufacturer Erard in 1856.

      Thank you so much for the link Peter, the history behind the piano is truly fascinating!
      I never realised that Queen Victoria & Prince Albert were so musically talented. It is wonderful to imagine them sitting at this piano playing together.
