Amusing article about the forgotten page turner - anyone who has engaged in this thankless task will sympathise. I recall one incident at a festival when the pianist's music left the stand abruptly and ended up at the feet of the examiner!

Yes, I've done some page turning. If everything goes perfectly, you are invisible, but you can sure mess things up!

Some years ago I was accompanying a choir for a seasonal presentation. The page turner absolutely froze and could not turn the pages, so I had to stop playing to turn them myself.
