      To be fair, I'm not sure this was well recorded. And like you I don't think Bach is the best choice for demonstrating the instrument, at least not as heard here in an interpretation that goes for bombast at the expense of subtlety. (Then again, the recording might not do the pianist justice.) I'm sure we'll eventually hear this instrument in more favorable circumstances.

        There were no pianos in Bach's time- so really his keyboard music is best on harpsichord- which is what it would have been composed and played on. If I ever "learn" any of his music ( which would be one of those beginner’s versions) I'll be pressing the harpsichord setting on Privia Piano!
