Great photography but I don't like snails.

Snails are the biggest irritation here for gardening; I've had young plants devoured in short order.

They can't help it- they need to eat too. I grow veg myself- I just lift them off the plants and put them elsewhere.
I am looking into natural barriers to prevent them slithering up my broad bean plants though ( there are enough wild "weeds" for them to eat here) or maybe cover the plants with netting I've got.

Alternatively you could encourage one or two of these into your garden:

They have been my favorite food since I was a year old!

I'd heard that it was the sauce that makes them worthwhile.

Neighbors might not like the hedgehogs. But it is an idea.

True, the taste of the snails themselves is not very strong. But they do have a flavor, and certainly their texture plays a big role in the dishes that use them.

Not like hedgehogs?! They are a gardener's friend. And very cute.

A friend of mine has a pet hedgehog. She brought her to work once, and I got to hold her. She is an albino, and she is pretty cute! I don't think my friend puts her to work in the garden, though.

I think I might have ran off with her! Those albino ones are cute beyond belief! Well little snuffles wouldn't see it as work but free meals!
