Have you been to the Handel House museum Megan? I went some years ago and unfortunately timed my visit with a hoard of tourists and saw virtually nothing, let alone had any experience of Handel! The same thing happened when I visited the Elgar birthplace museum, stupidly during the Worcester festival like everyone else!

Yes, we visited Handel Museum in Brook St. and Handel's church in Hanover Square, about 20 years ago. I think it was bought about 40'ish years ago, and oddly enought Jimmi Hendrix lived there for a while and he always spoke highly of Handel as a great musician.
I haven't been to London in years now since we moved away, though I am glad attended a few concerts. I don't know how I would cope with the traffic.

I recall reading that before he died he had talked about wanting to do something on a bigger scale, something orchestral as I recall. A shame we lost him. Also nice to see appreciation of the classical composers among modern non-classical musicians.
