Grand piano scales new heights for Yorkshire Festival 5 April 2014 Last updated at 09:46 BST

A team of 18 cyclists is set to tow a baby grand piano up Cragg Vale - the longest continuous ascent in England.

The unusual event is part of the Yorkshire Festival 2014. Organisers say it celebrates two things that local people are passionate about - music and cycling.

The route also forms part of the 2014 Tour de France course.

Strange yes, given the climate! What journey did the Broadward take? Where was Beethoven going? I suppose they had a big cart and 4 strong carthorses!

Beethoven wasn't going anywhere - the piano was a gift from London.
