    Bird Song

Listening to lovely bird song in my garden, This particular song, I could almost hear what sounds like , repertoire, repertoire, and, leave it, leave it, leave it.
‘Roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom.’

Hardly heard the Cuckoo this year - probably because spring was so awful!

There seems to a decline in the numbers of several birds, including the Cuckoo. In the 90's I used to hear the Cuckoo call pretty well daily when I lived in the west country.
Though I have to say we enjoy quite a variety of birds in our neck of the woods.
Towards the end of last winter, we spotted Waxwings and Redwings, which are visitors to the British Isles.
