I'll bet you know it, however. It's too well known, although I guess it's from the sixties. If you are a movie goer you must have heard it. Anyway, here is a more exact version. It's only a fragment of the theme.

Black Forest ... How I envy you! You certainly live in the heart of Europe (from an historical point of view).

It is a movie theme, then, and not from a popular song from the 60's?

It's a popular song, but because of it's popularity, it features in many movies.

What is the matter with Peter. His last post is from dicember 31!

            Perhaps something from the Beatles?

No. Something in the style of Somethin' Stupid.

Nor have I - perhaps tell us one of the films it features in?

Doesn't matter. There's people here who do not read, so I'll send a recording. May be I'll be lucky.

Maybe it's Mystic Moods Orchestra - Love Token

The first bar reminds me of Zambesi.

Could you send me a link to it? I looked at wikipedia and it referred me to Joe "Fingers" Car, a ragtime piano player. And google seems not to be great help.

It clearly isn't Zambesi, but when I attempted to play it on my children's toy keyboard, the first bit did remind me of it! But I'm not very good at getting rhythm right, so it might sound nothing like it really.

In fact, on looking at a few Youtube clips, it seems that the daftest one (which is the one I know from childhood) is the one which sounds most like the first bar (at least, the way I play it!):

                            Zambesi

It's the bit from 1 minute 4 seconds.

Apologies for the quality and daftness!

It's not that though, and I can't work out what it is yet.

Not at all.I could generate a WAV file with the music, but do not know very well yet the means to convey it to the Beethoven REference Site. And thank you very much for your post.
