(Sorry for repeating, I found an old thread but I didn't realized it wasn't on the general forum, perhaps it has been lost somewhere here inside the site, so I write it again here to be read by all)
Oldman - candidate at Oscars at last - has been recently asked for which character he would have appreciated to be named for, in his last movies, and he (unexpctedly,to me) answered B.! I'm glad he liked Ludwig so much. So, Good Luck for the Oscars.

thanks for this information, terry. he had the potential to be the best acted-out Beethoven yet, though the screenplay, not himself, is what held him back. that screenplay is quite bad, imo. gary oldman, did a great job considering the limitations!
