    different forum styles - PLEASE...

I enjoy the design of the forum, but could really use some different colors. The red, black, and off yellow, etc. is starting to get to me. When I think of Beethoven I like to think of nature. Can we focus on some nature colored styles also? Such as:

    1. light blue like the sky, white like the clouds, navy blue, etc.
    2. like the sunset
    3. like the sunrise
    4. like the trees, roots digging into the earth, like the leaves during fall, etc.
    5. beautiful pastels mixed with "the standard colors" etc.
    6. can i help, ql*.

Please - let us have multiple choices for color schemes - diversity.

*Roehre, I have made abbreviations regarding laughter. QL - means quietly laughing. I will start using it on the forum - the reason being is because that is usually how I am laughing - quietly.

Och no, that was the hot chili bean soup I had earlier.

I'll be needing plenty of the lovely warming soup on my visit to Scotland towards the end of this week.

Well, you can pick the VBulletin 3 style from the style chooser at the bottom of the page if you'd like some more blue. I'm afraid I don't have much of an eye for creating new styles myself.

now that I look at it again, it seems very bright , I have gotten so used to the classic style, much more restful on the eyes.

Thanks Chris. The VBulletin 3 looks too weird, imo. It is like elastic. We are really talking about 4 colors - a background (off-yellow), red, black, and gray. I will help if I can. I have Amaya - you could send me a basic html file of just one page of the forum and I could try to come up with some color combinations? I am really needing a change regarding the colors - like seriously. So please help, please, .

Now that I think of it I guess I could just download the page and try to open it in Amaya? That might work.

Yes, you could try that. However, there are more colors in a vBulletin style than you might think. You need to define all of them for a style.

After clicking on the link I found that I was now stuck on the new vBulletin style, but did figure out how to change that back. I like the classic style as well.

I've been messing with different color settings - and yes, it is interesting - you have to be really precise about the colors working with the scheme as a whole.

I thought an interesting idea was to stay (as always) true to Beethoven and create a color scheme for each symphony? Any thoughts? Such as the one now - could be the 9th? - because of the colors used. For instance the yellow reminds me of the ode - while the black and red remind me of the 1st mov. - yet the strength of the scheme remind me of the 2nd mov. - the third I am looking for - though perhaps it is the aura of the scheme. Something like that or I may be mad, ql!...

I also want to create one for the Overture to the Egmont - a dark almost black background, with mystical greens and grays - and then matrix like writing - or something like that.

For the Pastoral - the colors of nature - though with an edge - for the 4th mov. - which is ever so important.

The 5th, or fate - BLACK WITH golden white maybe or white with somekind of goldish yellow?

The 8th more humorous? As you can see the 8th I do not see!

Anyway would need a lot of advice!!!???

                          ETC.
