About the date format in LVB.

Tell me if I am wrong: when writing dates with numbers, Englishmen write the day first.
Quite apart: in Edit Options>Date and Time Options, I see there's no option to change the date format, i.e., day first to month first, e.g. Is there any other place in the Control Panel where this can be done?
Identical question for the time format (12 hr convention vs 24 hr). Each time I see the post time, I must employ almost one second to interpret it.

You're right about the date format here in the UK - I'm not sure about editing it but hopefully Chris can help!

Oddly enough, it doesn't seem that users can customize either of those things.

For some reason it seems that you'll find pretty much in both North and South America will use the 12 hour time units as well as using the month-day-year system. Now I am from the USA but I use the 24 hour clock and the day-month-year system which I learned while I was in the Air Force. This is what the military uses world wide and I wonder if this is the reason why the rest of the world, like Europe, uses this system. Does anyone know the answer to this?

I don't know the answer but, are you telling me people in Europe use 24-hr wrist watches? If so, I must go there.

If it has a digital display you can program it to show the time using the 24 hour clock. I programmed the clock on my mobile phone to show the time in the 24 hour clock system.
