    Discographical similar to bibliographical?

Deutsche Grammophon, Philips, CBS record and manufacture audio CDs. What is the name of the category to which these companies belong? Record company? Perhaps the expression exists and designates entities like those.

In my country, radio speakers used to speak of "compania discografica" when referring to the disc label. In English the word discographical exists but may it be correctly applied to record manufacturing companies?

They would be called record companies or record labels. "Discographical" I don't think could be applied to these companies, but it might be used in reference to their catalogs, which are sometimes called "discographies."

Yes, I had a vague idea that the term was not correct in that context. I had looked up 'discographic' in Wikipedia but only found 'discographical', and the definition didn't seem to fit. Thanks for your reply and, by the way: do you know some online encyclopedia other than Wikipedia? Access is temporarily (I hope) disabled.

www.dictionary.com is good for just looking up word definitions. Wikipedia should be up tomorrow.

By that time, I think they will have been offline for more than 48 hours, and not the 24 they announced. Thanks for your kind reply.
