a little LotR tune on piano...

I wanted to share this (particularly with Megan) because of horrible past attempts regarding improvisations, . I cannot write music by any means! Maybe one day, . Though, I worked on playing this piece for piano from LotR called "Evenstar". If you listen to it then I think you will see I am quite the beginner. I found playing this piece somewhat challenging, and it is quite simple.

Though, I particularly wanted Megan to hear it so that she does not think I am living on the brinks of death, ! So Megan, hopefully you will find this piece more pleasant than my own?

It is only 1:30 long, so do not expect much.

Anyway, thought I would share. That, and I remember years ago when I first got all of the equipment to be able to this, Peter said post if you do something good. Well, it is not "good" but it will have to do.

Playing the piano is quite a challenge!

Thank you Megan - I am glad you enjoyed it after listening to that other rubbish, ! I do enjoy a couple of pieces from the movie the piano, also. Particularly the main piece - "The Promise".

Let's say I am attempting to be self taught! I started playing guitar at a young age, which gave me the ability to learn about notes, chords, scales, etc. So, I take that knowledge and use it on the piano.

Though, in the end, imo, being a good pianist is far more about talent than practice. Such as, I could practice for years and not even begin to imagine doing what a talented 3 year old could do! Talent is a blessing - well, at least when used properly - kind of like knowledge, imo.

Anyway, I am glad you enjoyed it. That was the key!

The piano I used for the recording was the East West Pianos library. It is an excellent collection of high quality sampled grand pianos. I think I used the Bosendorfer, though it may have been the Steinway - I forget?

Purchasing all that equipment and software has given me many, many, etc. days of good enjoyment and fun, .
