    regarding forum announcement...

    Regarding the forum announcement...

Personally, I like the small cluster of members/friends here. Yes, more are always welcome but I do not think it is best to push for the masses - that is never good. People who want a forum like this, will find it, ! I mean this!!!

Though I do think maybe making the forum more diverse towards other composers (maybe even other types of music section - such as "other music"**) might not be a bad idea? I know it says that in the FAQ but nobody does. It may be good to have more diversity regarding classical music than Beethoven, I think?

**I know that many forum members may not like a sub-forum like that but hey it would be neat - and knowledgeable, imo.

This website is centered on Beethoven, but as the forum description reads, all classical music discussion is welcome in the main forum. So by all means, feel free to post on any subject related to classical music!

Just some ideas, no big deal. It might not be a bad a idea to emphasize that other composers are to be talked about freely? On the other hand the "other music" thing might be a bad idea, ?

As Chris says the forum descriptions already allow for this, but we do like to keep things Beethoven centred as much as possible. Concerning the announcement itself, that is there simply because the link to the main Beethoven Reference Site is hidden away otherwise at the bottom of the forum page - many people find this forum without realising it is part of a more general reference site about Beethoven.

          Just throwing out some ideas.

Though, if you were looking to generate more traffic I have heard of things called Facebook Groups. I looked it up and found this:

Apparently they can get pretty popular.
