Some musical 'terms' which I got from a friend who is the conductor of a choir. I had a laugh about this with him on the weekend!!
An Dante - Play infernally slowly
Angus Dei - Play with a divine beefy tone.
Anti-phonal - Referring to the prohibition of mobile phones in the concert hall.
A patella - Unaccompanied knee slapping
Appologgiatura - A composition you regret playing
Approximature - A series of notes played by a performer, not intended by the composer
Coral Symphony - See Beethoven - Caribbean period
Frugalhorn - A sensible, inexpensive brass instrument
Gregorian champ - Monk who can hold a note the longest
Opera buffa - Musical stage production by nudists
Tempo tantrum - Refusal to keep time with the conductor
Good Conductor
1. A person who can give an electrifying performance
2. One who obeys the orchestra and/or choir

I never heard of this "virtuoso" before, but no doubt he could play the Bach double violin concerto all on his own! Perhaps he is a reincarnation of Paganini? He does look a litle bit "diabolic-Italian".
Of course, one should never try such a thing with two 'cellos, unless one wanted a hernia...

How do you know where to find these things? Do you type key words into the Google search engine thingie [sic] along the lines "Mynah birds, Beethoven, men dressed as women" or what?‘Roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom.’

The very first Monty Python sketch ever broadcast - on 5th October 1969 - was called "It's Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart!"
