    Site ranking

The Beethoven Reference Site has regained its first page ranking on google - took me quite by surprise when I did a search for Beethoven as we haven't been there for some years!

Great news Peter. It is about time Google got this worked out!

Actually, the reason this happened is because Google has been hard at work revising their search engine to make the search results more accurate. I know this because I read a long article about this very thing.

    Congrats!

About time! That's super news indeed Peter. Thanks again to all of you hard working stars who keep this site up and running!

It probably also has to do with the change in domain.

        Great news, Peter!

Nah, you're all wrong. It was me who made out a fat chèque to Mr Google himself to fiddle the ranking algorithms. Clear?

As a technological Neanderthal, I believe I have just made a very perceptive comment (that algorithm thing). Is this an "IQ threshold" moment?

Like 11 quarters (11 x 1/4). That (as Beethoven was reported as saying) makes 10 and a quarter. Absolutely agree with the fellow. Hah! Who needs Einstein? He couldn't count, either !!!

Which I suppose could be musically notated (in simple crotchets) as 4 x 1/4, 4 x 1/4 + 3 x 1/4, or variants. Beethoven wasn't far off the mark, finally. Depends on where the beat falls.

And Beethoven was a master of the off-beat.

And there was nearly an alliteration, there, in my above posting.

And that, for the linguists on this forum, is one of my problems : I am always just a little à côté de la plaque.

Bonnie, may I correct your syntax?

Jeez, Skip, what is it with her? Too much Beethoven, methinks. This is normal. Hah!
To answer your question, yes. You OK?
