That was a "typo" Philip and, no, you may not correct my syntax (ex English teacher, learned grammar etc.). I don't drink alcohol but am intoxicated by great music - frequently!! It's cheaper too.

          Great job, Peter!

You know, Philip, that there are three kinds of people: Those who can count and those who cannot.

I have ten sites to a page and I just typed "Beethoven" into Google but I can't find the Reference Site and I've gone in about four pages? Am I doing something wrong?

(I get a hit on the first page when I type in "Beethoven Forum")

It's on page 1 at number 2 below Wikipedia - unless that's just for Google UK?

Alright, this is weird. I got onto Google U.K. (which I never knew about - I thought Google was Google!) and I am four or five pages in and I can't locate "The Beethoven Reference Site".
I think I was the first to draw attention to this about four or five years back. Is "Beethoven" on its own sufficient in the search box?

I've no idea Michael - I search Beethoven and it comes up on page 1 right at the top. Anyone else not finding it there?

Thanks, Peter. I sound like I'm making a big deal out of it, but I'm just puzzled. Anyway, I know where to find the site. It's nice to know that we are back on page one where we belong. Get ready for a rush of new members.

Actually, searching for "Beethoven" on google does not give me this site at all in the first ten pages, at least.

I believe that your results vary depending on where you are in the world, so that would explain it. Perhaps the US results will catch up to the UK results. I would think a new site in the .co.uk top-level domain would propagate to the UK results first. It could be that having a .co.uk domain hurts us, since it will be assumed it is relevant only or mostly to the UK. A .com or .net might have been a better choice in terms of getting search results. This is all just speculation on my part, however.

I live 30 miles from Peter, but when I type 'Beethoven' into Google, this site is nowhere to be found, page after page. Maybe Peter gets different search results because he is the domain owner?

                          The plot thickens!

Yahoo! I have it on page two (at ten to a page). But not on Google.

This is weird! I've checked it many times over the past few days and it consistently shows up on page 1 at the top just below Wikipedia. Does anybody get this result? There has to be something crazy about google!

Probably has more to do with search settings of google?

                                hope this helps

I searched Beethoven here in America on www.google.com and believe it or not the old address (kingsbarn.freeserve.co.uk) shows up on page 8!???!

I have searched all the way up to page 20 (10 results per page) and do not see www.lvbeethoven.co.uk anywhere?

It is strange how the old site is now on Google and the new domain is not anywhere to be found!
