I am unable to post as Amalie and getting the message that someone is already registered with that user name. Please can you help me rectify this problem. Sorry to be a pain. Please bear with me.

If you are getting that message, you are trying to register again. When you want to post, just type "Amalie" (without quotes) where it says "Your UserName:" when you click the reply or new topic button. Then type your password where it says "Your Password:" and that should be it.

Whether your hard drive is new or old, it has nothing to do with it. All the information for your username is stored on the webserver for these forums. The only thing stored on your computer is a cookie that remembers your username and password and puts them in the blanks for you automatically.

If you still can't post with your original username, let me know (with a complete description of why), and I'll let you know what to do next.

Sorry Chris, but I keep getting the message that my password is not recognized.
I have followed the correct procedure and entered 'Amalie' in the username and my password underneath, clicked on 'forgot your password and entered my e-mail, and get the message that more that one person is using this e-mail address. I always use the same password against the name Amalie.
I think the problem may have occurred when I was having difficulties in the past and used a different e-mail, username and password to access the site. Sorry about this muddle.

OK, I deleted the "Amalie" username, so just reregister it, and that should do it.
