    WAS BEETHOVEN COMPLETLY DEAF OR JUST DEAF IN ONE EAR. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPOSE MUSIC WHILE BEING COMPLETELY DEAF. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND OUT IF HE WAS COMPLETLY DEAF.

    First of all, please post messages about Beethoven in the General forum.

    In any case, Beethoven was deaf. The reason he could compose while deaf is that he was not born deaf. He was already a master pianist and composer before he began to lose his hearing. By the end of his life he could hear practically nothing. But he could still compose perfectly because of his years of experience. He knew how things would sound without needing to actually hear them.
