    Closed Threads ?

    Chris....

    I don't understand your comments.

    >>>huh? That doesn't seem to be a valid URL. Perhaps it's what they stamp on your hand on your way to Ban Land. This thread is closed. Anymore threads that are pure spam and you will be banned. I sense that you are here simply to troll these boards.<<<<<

Is it unacceptable here to mention other music, or is this person a regular trouble maker ? I don't see anything wrong in his post. Perhaps other people around here also like Jethro Tull. Not me mind you but it's not out of the realm of possibility. He is actually quite complimentary to Beethoven. It's not as though he were using this board to try and draw people to some other Beethoven website.

    Regards

In this cases the fascism is absolutely legal. The Rules clearly say: Only topics relating to Beethoven in particular and Classical music in general are allowed in the main forum.

It was completely off-topic, and deserved to be closed for that alone. But registering and posting with the primary intention of redirecting someone to your site is, by definition, spam (if he actually had a real site in mind, which I doubt). Besides, I can spot an Internet wise guy a mile a way, and he was one of them. He obviously had no real interest in discussing Beethoven or Classical music, and was simply being disruptive.

I think this guy was a wise guy too.

This topic has been magically moved here where it belongs - Chris was certainly correct in his assessment. This Jethro Tull fan joined again under yet another name (his 3rd in as many days) and I have banned his latest pseudonym and deleted his posts which were ludicrous in the extreme.

Let me make it quite clear we have NO OBJECTION to discussing any form of music provided it is genuine and in relation to Beethoven / CM. We have had this twice now, and on both occasions the persons concerned had no interest in proper debate but only in being disruptive.
