Hi Ahmad ,welcome,I have just completed my first year at the piano I am a late bloomer at music but am enjoying it very much despite my great age(49).If you had told me when I began that learning to play would be like trying to write with my left hand I should never have attempted it.My teacher says I am progressing very well and seems pleased that I take it seriously, the theory is daunting ,I'm trying to take it in without letting it overwhelm me,sometimes it can be very discouraging but these times do pass.My favorite composer is Handel but I love Beethoven,Hadyn ,Bach and Purcell.

Welcome to the forum. I play the piano too. I'm not sure how to describe my level of playing. I took lessons for four years, during high scool. I was already proficient with the violin, so I progressed pretty quickly. I stopped taking lessons when I started college (due to lack of time). I never went back to the lessons, but one of these days I might. I do practice daily though, and I have improved a lot since I stopped taking lessons. I'd love to learn all the Beethoven sonatas, but I doubt I will ever have that much time. I know a few. I have played most of the Moonlight (never got around to finishing learning the third movement), and it is a fine piece indeed.
