You can happily talk about Bach here! The 'God of harmony' and 'ocean' as Beethoven called him - I have just been driven home listening to the most glorious bass aria from the Matthew Passion after a lovely evening of good food and wine and a clear night sky full of stars - heaven - and 'so to bed'!
Peter your evening sounds like a dream come true! And right now i'm thoroughly enjoying French Suites, although, I admit far removed from the world of St. Matthew's Passion.
Please don't hate me for posting this - at the Bach Board it was clear that it was acceptable to have off topic conversation going on in the main discussion room. Here there is little in that realm. I thought it would be fun to start a Lievelottie game (it's a back & forth question and answer social thread - for example - http://prologue.proboards12.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&num=1 051885490&start=45)but it just seems wholly inappropriate to do so on this board - a social thread is not a comment or a suggestion, nor is it any way related to classical music - given the rules above - Only topics relating to Beethoven in particular and Classical music in general are allowed in the main forum. Anything else belongs in the comments and suggestions forum.
Offensive language, topics, or remarks about others will be deleted. - it seems as though it doesn't belong here.
