Beethovens students

I am doing a paper on Beethoven and I can't find out just who was Beethovens main student. If any one could tell me his name or where I could find out that would be great. Thanks.

Beethoven had many students, and I'm not sure what you mean by "main" student. The one who studied with him the longest? The most famous? The most politically important? What?

I suppose the most important would be the Archduke Rudolf.

I would have said Carl Czerny was the most important from a musical rather than social perspective.
