    Confusion with trios

Please tell me the Opus or WoO numbers of the following compositions:

    Piano trio No.8
    Piano trio No.9
    Piano trio No.10
    Piano trio No.11

I ask this because I'm having trouble with the ordinal numeration of the four trios that correspond to the numbers mentioned before, which must be the trios WoO38-39 and Op.44-121a. The problem is that I don't know what is the order in which they are ussually numbered.

    I think:

    Piano trio No.8 = WoO 39
    Piano trio No.9 = WoO 38
    Piano trio No.10 = Op. 44
    Piano trio No.11 = Op. 121a

    I'm not positive, though.

It's best not to even bother with sequence numbers for the chamber music in my opinion. Stick to catalogue numbers if u can.

Yes, you're right. That's a good advice. Thanks.

I like the numbers, myself. It's easier to think of the entire set of a particular kind of work that way.
