It's quite incredible but this is my 10,000th post on the forum and last night to mark this special occasion I listened to Beethoven's 9th conducted by John Eliot Gardiner. It's not my favourite recording (that place being reserved for Ferenc Fricsay's 1958 recording with the Berlin Philharmonic), but it's certainly a very thrilling version with the faster tempi.
