2 Scherzi for string quartett

Hi, for my string quartett I wrote 20 years ago this Scherzo, which has somewhat the character of an horse ride, with a development part at 0:36 which I am very fond of and a lovely Trio:

Later on I replaced this Scherzo with another (this one on a short Beethoven sketch for an unfished string quintett). Which one do you like better?

The first has a renaissance quality to it, combined with the 9th! They're both interesting, but I think I prefer the 2nd. Are they part of a symphony?

no, the second is a part of my string quartett which I wrote 15 years ago on the basis of Beethoven's last project, the string quintett from 1826. The first one is even older ... :-)
