    Beethoven and the night the Titanic sank

    I was reading about the music played on the deck that fateful night of the sinking of the Titanic. Of course, most of the music was cheerful to keep the spirits up. But the mood on board was certainly not cheerful which made me wonder what Beethoven's piece would have best captured the unfolding drama.

    Perhaps the cavatina from op.130? Or something more agitated like the Egmont overture? Or The slow mvt of the 7th symphony...
