Who can possibly have written this?

I know, I am getting used to this sort of inquiry. All I know is that it is a piano concerto, and one of the famous ones. And in all probability, that it is from Beethoven. The theme is this (part of):



The tempo is approximately allegro. What happens is that it is not the first theme in the movement, nor the second, I'm sure. And I don't remember how the movement ends. What I wrote happens towards the end. Ah, each note should have a dot above.

I believe it closely resembles the third movement of one of Beethoven's more famous piano sonatas; not one of the concertos.

Yes, I picked that one up right away. But then, it's been used recently in the Piano Puzzlers on Performance Today.

Thanks a lot, BRSers! It can be heard in a motion picture, The Visitor (2007). I don't know from where I took it was a concert but, starting from this (tacit) assumption, I was puzzled by not being able to make it fit into none of the piano concerts. It is the 3rd movement and the theme is the first and only (perhaps) one.
