    Jessye Norman

    It has saddened me this morning to learn of the death of Jessye Norman, she sadly passed away yesterday 30th September.
    What a wonderful lady and a wonderful voice, a truly unique artist and her legacy will continue for decades to come. May the great lady rest in peace.

    Yes I heard the sad news this morning after they broadcast her singing 'September' from Strauss's 4 last songs. She was unsurpassed in her performance of these in my opinion.
