    Finale of my symphony

I would like to present to you the finale of my c-minor symphony realised with NotePerformer

    IV. Allegro con spirito

The Finale is the most vivid and jubilent movement I wrote so far. Only in the development (starting at 4:30) more dark and exotic colours dominate:

The main theme is by Beethoven which he sketched for a symphony in 1822 titled "4th piece" which I transposed to C-Major :

I would love to get your impressions!

I think you have a great talent Gerd and I hear a mix of many of your favourite composers in there, Mendelssohn, Bach and Beethoven!

Thank you Peter, but I am a bit astonished: where do you hear Bach here? I was not5 aware of it so far ...

Actually you're right - I think I'm detecting Handel via Beethoven in your contrapuntal treatment of the theme!

Yes, the jubilent theme is from 1822, the year of the Consecration of the House overture, which mainly was influenced by Handel . I think the theme is gorgeous, especially in the Development section in minor!

Very impressive, Gerd! I've just finished it, and I'm putting it on again. I guess that's the 21st century version of asking for an encore!

Can you imagine this main theme as a theme for a fugue which Beethoven had in mind when he sketched that theme for a symphony in 1822 titled "4th piece" and "fugue" which I transposed to C-Major :
