Thanks Nick - a really fine work and it's wonderful that many of these lost and forgotten pieces are now seeing the light of day thanks to Youtube!

Terrific transcription for organ of Bach's Sinfonia from Cantata BWV 29. Piece starts around 1'00 but worth listening to introduction talk.

I was stuck in a road work delay this morning, so I had time to listen to quite a bit of music, including the William Tell overture and Mozart's final piano concerto. At least those cheered me up a bit!

Moszkowski 2nd piano concerto - really deserves to be better known.

            The Beatles White Album remixed.
(That's where Beethoven got most of his ideas!)

Is the remix that much better?

Very impressive. It's hard to believe it was recorded 50 years ago.

The White Album came out 50 years ago - the same year I discovered Beethoven. I was 22.
Ah, even the nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Terrific indeed. I listened to it played on a synthesizer with some pairs of hands. The independence of the voices was emphasized. And there was no rallentando in the end. They spoke of Bach motor.
