Thanks. Always nice to explore operas and that article gives brief synopses so we can quickly screen them for our interest.
Here is a forgotten opera that I recently got into and the DVD performance by Batroli (with Jonas Kaufmann) is wonderful:

Not sure if Herold's Zampa might fit. It may not be worth remembering, but the overture shows up from time to time on the radio. Years ago I received a piano arrangement of the overture and have enjoyed that for many years.

Not sure this one qualifies as forgotten, but perhaps obscure:
Prokofiev, Betrothal in a Monastery
I am watching a DVD of this and it plays out much like a Rossini opera, even happens in Seville.
