My favourite musical discoveries in 2016

At the end of a year I like to ask myself what new musical discoveries I have made in the year. Well, for 2016 for me the greatest were:

3 Requiems: from Kozlovsky (!!!!), Cherubini's second Requiem, and from Donizetti:

    A wonderful symphony from F. Witt from 1819 (mov. 4 at 21:45... - great counterpoint !!!):

Not so much a work, rather a composer - Jan Dismas Zelenka.

    The Schubert song is lovely!

To name a few of the many new musical joys I found in 2016:

      Mahler
The Haunted Manor (a Polish opera)
      Boris Godunov
      Wagner's Ring
      Baroque Opera
"Life is too short to spend it wandering in the barren Sahara of musical trash."
