It has always been something special to listen to a masterwork for the first time. Since I know so many works by now, unfortuneately this experience has become quite seldom for me. All the more I am so grateful for discovering an outstanding masterwork some weeks ago, and since this I almost don't listen to anything else ... The emotional depth and musical beauty is just undescribable...
Together with Mozart's and Cherubini's Requiem (well, and Brahms) the most touching Requiem I know!
The composer was altogether unknown to me, and most certainly also for you!
If you want to do yourself a favour I recommend to you to save yourself one hour, get some headphones and just get into this superb Requiem without any distractions!
Maybe you click this link without looking at the name of the composer ... listen and ask yourself from what year and country this work may come from ...

Enjoy!
