Sorry for the late reply; been away due to surgery. The book (I have it here right now) is called Beethoven Impressions By His Contemporaries and was edited by O. G. Sonneck. The book was published by Dover and the preface was by G. Schirmer, Inc., which had the copyright at the time of publication.
