Look what I got for FREE today!

There is a charity called Healthy Planet in town and it gives books away for free- they are "excess" books got from charity shop surplus, effectively being saved from going to landfill.

I couldn't believe my luck to find the above book sitting in one of the boxes on the floor! (They have some on shelving and on tables too). I grabbed it quick!

I have wanted this book for ages! It is out of print. I have seen many references to it online and some quotes from it. There are some wonderful pictures in there I have never seen before as well.

I do when it comes to Beethoven books (found many at low prices in second hand bookshops) but not much else!

I was! And I had been in a few days' before and not seen it then, so the volunteers mustn’t have sorted that box then. I have a keen eye for books.

Another gem I got from there a couple of months ago was a late nineteenth century copy of Percy Bysshe Shelley's essays.
