    Ecossaise in E flat Major WoO 86- finger numbers

    To Peter:

    I am trying to learn this. I watched this lady playing it:

    But it is kind of too fast for me to see the finger number/placing. Unluckily for me there's no piano tutorials of it on YT.

    What I can see is that she isn't crossing fingers under to get up and down the notes. I have really small hands so I often do that to reach notes far apart. I see that she moves her hands up and down, but I struggle with that! I think it must be keeping a shape to move up and down.

    Even "easy" Beethoven is hard for me..

    Work out a fingering that works for you. Learn the piece at a slow tempo, then when you are comfortable with it you can speed it up. The hard part is the patience in learning.

      Have you got a copy of the music? Some editions will be fingered. I can't help you I'm afraid without the music and being present in the same room!

            Second section beginning on Eb quaver in 2nd time bar:

            RH: 21 / 2431 / 2431/ 3 45/ 4 etc
