    Some time ago I picked up an album of his piano works and really quite enjoyed it.

      His daily habits were just as far reaching – his diet supposedly consisted only of white food: ‘eggs, sugar, shredded bones, the fat of dead animals, veal, salt, coconuts, chicken cooked in white water, moldy fruit, rice, turnips, sausages in camphor,’ he wrote...
      Urggggh..blarrrrgh..

      After years of heavy drinking (including consumption of absinthe), Satie died on 1 July 1925 from cirrhosis of the liver.
      Urghhh..again.
      It's a wonder he lived til 59 with that lot.
