Some people probably don't realise he was bald (which is why I suggested April 1st for the sale date) and would be quite happy to pay through the nose for a lock of his 'hair'!

If it comes to that, practically every 18th century composer could have been bald but how could you tell with all the wigs?
There is at least one genuine portrait of Mozart without a wig but I don't think I've ever come across Beethoven wearing one.
But that's neither hair nor there.
