    Piano Trios

    Hi Everyone,
I took out my set of the Piano Trios, and I realized that I am (shamefully) quite ignorant in that aspect of Beethoven's music. Can anyone recommend a good book that can "walk" me through these? I used one or two such guides (along with the score) when learning about the string quartets.
    Thanks in advance.

I don't know any specific guides for these, but the Beethoven Companion and the Beethoven Compendium offer a more general guide to all his works. The BBC used to have an excellent series of small guides, but I'm not sure if they did one on the trios or if you can still get hold of them. Another resource is the Beethovenhaus website.
