    Favourite Magical Moments in Opera

For me, the Papageno/Papagena duet is one of the most enchanting, magical moments from Mozart's Magic Flute.
The version I have posted here isn't the one I seen at ENO, but it is equally as lovely.

Well I can see this is a thread that can run and run, there are so many wonderful moments! How about the final trio from Richard Strauss 'Der Rosenkavalier'

Another favourite - a rarity, the lovely Elisabeth Schwarzkopf sings the celebrated aria 'Glück das mir verblieb' from the opera Die tote Stadt by Erich Wolfgang Korngold

Well, by magical do you mean an opera with actual magic as part of the story, or do you mean magical in the broader sense of beautiful or delightful in such a way as to seem removed from everyday life. If the latter, I can find those scenes in La Cenerentola for sure and also in Fidelio--these being the only two operas I have much familiarity with as the handfull of operas I attended were 30 years ago and I have forgotten them for the most part.

We seem to have few opera fans here so I'll do another great moment!

The last 7 minutes of Abbado's La Cenerentola with Frederica von Stade's absolutely magical voice:

Yes, Harvey, I meant magical and enchanting exactly as you describe it as the broader sense of beautiful or delightful in such a way as to seem removed from everyday life.

For some reason you have to remove the "s" from https or it won't work. There it is without the "s":

I love opera, above all Mozart and Verdi (Don Carlos!). They give me so many magical moments that it's had for me to pick one, so I take these 2 rather unknown gems from Bizet's Pearl Fishers:
