    Wonderful subtitle Michael! I'm revisiting this sonata in practice at the moment - great similarities in the passage work of the finale with the Emperor concerto written at the same time and in the same key!

        His Ninth, on his radio whilst doing my music theory course quiz ( like a test). That was hard, but with some study I got 9.50 out of 10. The next one I will be lucky to get 2 right, as it is on note values- which is my nemesis.

                    The work begins with the simultaneous sound of all 12 notes. Not bad for a Baroque era composer. Chord clusters are not a product of 20th Century music.
